美国教育部、美国高等教育认证委员会等处发布最新全球“野鸡大学”黑名单。此次更新的名单共曝光未被认证的大学和教育机构691所，其中包括部分上回曝光过，但仍在运营的院校。

学校数量虽下降了，但办学方式却有所翻新，而且办学地区也比两年前多了10个，“野鸡大学”市场需求有增多趋势。

与旧名单相同的是，美国大学仍然占上榜院校总数的最大头，此次共有342所院校和机构被曝光，约占总数的50%。其中又以夏威夷和加利福尼亚最多，分别有30所和45 所，共占全球总量的一成。

此次曝光院校所涉区域遍布全球46个国家和地区，比两年前多了10个，这说明一些地区对野鸡大学的市场需求增多，导致野鸡大学在全球的“侵蚀”范围扩张。在院校种类上，则比原来的综合大学、专业学院和远程教育三种少了一种，即远程教育学校。
